Bitcoin soared nearly 10% on Monday, after five straight days of losses, on reports that JPMorgan Chase is planning to offer a managed bitcoin fund.

The cryptocurrency had slumped almost a fifth from its all-time high hit earlier this month.

It was last up 9.5% at $53,792.0 after touching its lowest since early March on Sunday. Other major coins ethereum and XRP, which tend to move in tandem with bitcoin, were up around 7.7% and 20.4% respectively.

Prices for Bitcoin are rising as another Wall Street bank appears to be readying an actively managed crypto fund for its private-wealth clients.

JPMorgan Chase (ticker: JPM) may launch the fund—custodied by NYDIG—this summer, the cryptocurrencies website CoinDesk reported on Monday.

An NFL player for the Kansas City Chiefs, Sean Culkin, will convert all of his salary to bitcoin. A proponent of the cryptocurrency, Culkin said, “I believe we are in the beginning stage of bitcoin’s shift away from being extremely speculative, to a legitimate asset class viewed as a store of value.”

Bitcoin has regained the $53,000 level after plunging to $47,250 earlier today.

Meanwhile, investor Raoul Pal says that Bitcoin is likely to "hit cyberspace" now and explains why.

Bitcoin was on track for its biggest bounce since February following a tweet with an intentional typo from Tesla  (TSLA) - Get Report co-founder and CEO Elon Musk that appears to have re-instilled faith in the world’s largest cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin jumped 6.13% to $52,876, up from an overnight low of $47,079, following a two-week stumble, according to CoinDesk. The digital asset set a record of $64,829 earlier this month, largely on the back of enthusiasm for the direct listing of Coinbase Global  (COIN) - Get Report.

It fell below the 100-day moving average late last week for the first time since early October after JPMorgan Chase cautioned that its upward momentum could be at risk.

Doing a repeat of last week, the price of Bitcoin dropped even lower, just under $47,000.

Ever since hitting a new all-time high at just about $65,000, BTC price has been on a downtrend.

Last week, we went to about $50k, and the following week the chopping intensified with the price keeping between $51k and $58k.

Towards the end of last week, the price went down under $50k, and before the start of a new week again, we hit a new low from the ATH, representing a 27.7% pullback. But soon enough, the price went back above $53k, which could be seen as the market has bottomed.

BTC bottomed at 46.9K on Coinbase, 47K on Binance, said trader and economist Alex Kruger, adding, the 50% was at 46.85K, “based on fib and the volume profile (confluence),”

As of writing, BTC/USD is hovering around $53,500.

Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) appears to be more interesting than ever to Turkish citizens after local regulators recently banned crypto transactions.

What Happened: Google Trends data shows that Google searches for Bitcoin in Turkey skyrocketed after Turkey’s central bank on April 16 said it would ban the use of cryptocurrencies and crypto assets for purchases beginning April 30. The bank cited possible “irreparable” damage and transaction risks.

A few days after the news of the ban spread, local searches for Bitcoin skyrocketed, and this month's searches are now expected to overtake the all-time high registered in February.
